I know, it's been a long time. I'm not very good at this. I think it's all the gooey crap on pregnancy and babies I hear that had me writing the way I did.
Pregnancy is slowly changing me, for the best. I can't eat poorly anymore, and I have to exercise regularly.
This time around, I decided to talk about what I have learned, and still have to develop as qualities to become a mother (not necessarily the perfect mother, but just a mother):
- I have to eat regularly; therefore prepare food BEFORE I'm hungry. I don't even know where to start (ideas - freezing stuff, making meals for 6 so I always have some leftovers, learning how to use some leftover in a new recipe...). Just thinking about all this is making my palms sweat.
- I can't run to the bus, so I actually need to give up on catching a bus at the last minute (my life up until now has been a series of running/rushing/last-minute dashes).
- I have to get up to pee every 3 to 4 hours during the night, which is preparing me for the first 3 month nightmare, by which I mean being sleep deprived. You won't even know how to smile, how am I going to put up with that? I can't stand tutoring a child who doesn't smile or look me in the eye to express him or herself. You better damn be cute and googaa your way to my heart.
- I have to go to bed early, and get up early or else I feel crappy all day.
- I have to exercise regularly (it's all about regularity)

Ah, yes, but I have learned...
- To move around like an elephant, not a scurrying mouse
- To care for plants
- To be more patient with young children
- The 5 s's (not practised yet, but I have visions of swaddling a baby off the street)

Recently, I surprised a stain on my shirt and didn't care, my thighs are huge, but it's for the best I say, and I have recently discovered how men can be endeared by my belly, sometimes more than other women.

Your father has already found a school for you, and the stores we should go to for your stroller etc. He's the best.

Love you!
